The Men Who Jump Of Buildings

Channel 4 really do air some of the best documentaries ever, Wednesday the 28th July 2010 they showed the programme "The Men Who Jump Off Buildings" at 9pm, which followed two British base jumpers Dan Witchalls and Ian Richardson who spend their lives jumping from the top of famous landmarks in London and around the world.
The programme showed how these guys put their lives at risk jumping from buildings like Nelson's Column, The Millennium Dome and the Wembley Stadium and then releasing their parachutes at the last minute, and sometimes getting arrested afterwards for trespassing and reckless endangerment. These guys were not only very courageous in what they did but they kept the viewer hilariously entertained with their humour and I was laughing and sitting on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
In the documentary Ian seems to be the unlucky one breaking his leg in a jump and then breaking his ribs and puncturing his lung in another jump, while Dan who has done over 800 jumps has never hurt himself and seems to be very lucky at what he does. The documentary shows some amazing jumps and the Film makers Rob Davis and Alastair Cook have really outdone themselves in this short sweet masterpiece. The best bits of the film wasn't the jumps however , the best bits for me were the scenes when poor Ian kept ending up in hospital and Dan would come to visit him and cheer him up. The relationship between these guys was something really special and even though I think they are both crazy, I also admire them both very much for having the passion to do what they love. If you want to see this documentary/short film, you can watch it on 4 on demand. Amazing viewing, thanks again channel 4.

These men must be "adrenaline junkies" just like Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, was. I can't imagine even jumping from the first floor window, haha.
Thanks for sharing that interesting programme with us.
